A successful deployment
In the spring of 2020, a huge Microsoft Teams deployment project began at HUS. As part of it, all alternative services like Skype were discontinued altogether. This development led to more than 27,000 HUS employees successfully using Microsoft Teams by December 2020 – and the numbers have only increased since then.
Everything’s easier in Teams
With the help of Sulava and Microsoft Teams, HUS has embraced remote customer receptions. This means more than one person can join important calls, which is particularly helpful when a family member or interpreter is needed to take part in the conversation.
During the pandemic, Teams also provided HUS’s staff with an extra layer of protection –ensuring a reliable, remote connection between patients, nurses, and family members.
Previously, HUS had been using Microsoft Excel to plan their shifts and placements. Now, the ‘Shifts’ app on Teams is breathing new life into a previously manual process. The new user interface makes it much more efficient to review and update work placements, upcoming shifts, and current absences.
“The goal was to have 10,000 users on board by June. By April, we had 14,000. Alongside Sulava, we’re moving towards a modern working environment.”
Teamwork makes the dream work
Cultural changes don’t happen overnight, it’s a process that takes real effort. Sulava continues to work with HUS on their Teams implementation journey. Next up: increased mobile app use, better support for mobile employees, expanding the Microsoft champions network, and deploying all kinds of new Teams features.
